Shannon Klein is the author of “Immaterial Gifts,” a stand-up comedian, journalist, podcast host, and globally-minded wellness advocate dedicated to the pursuit of holistic health, nutrition, and longevity. For more than two decades, she has immersed herself in the study of how lifestyle, diet, and mindset intersect to create lasting vitality, resilience, and purpose. Her work combines rigorous research, cross-cultural exploration, and personal experience to offer a deeply insightful, practical, and inspiring approach to human flourishing. Her genuine and authentic love for people is what fuels her to help make a difference. She celebrates witnessing each life she sees being changed, one at a time.
Raised on the serene Catalina Island and educated at the University of Southern California, Shannon’s passion for wellness began as a child. Being surrounded by natural beauty and coastal shores sparked her curiosity about the human body, vitality, and the role of the environment in health. While studying Japanese language and culture at USC, she became fascinated by how other societies approach health, nutrition, and lifestyle - often with more balance, mindfulness, and longevity than what she observed in the United States. This exposure inspired a journey of traveling all over the world, taking her to Japan, the Mediterranean, and other regions renowned for their healthful lifestyles. She explored not only their diets and culinary traditions, but also daily routines, community practices, and preventive care routines that support longevity and well-being.

Faith and Fitness
Strengthening spirit and body, one breath at a time.
Shannon has spent years analyzing the nutritional habits that allow certain populations to thrive and is dedicated to sharing this information with others in a way that is relatable and digestible (pun intended). Her approach emphasizes the importance of whole, unprocessed, God-made foods as foundational for energy, mental clarity, and longevity.
In addition to her research and writing, Shannon has built a dynamic on-camera presence across multiple platforms. She regularly appears on a variety of podcasts, engages audiences as a public speaker, performs stand-up comedy, and produces journalistic content that highlights health, culture, and longevity. Through these mediums, she brings a rare blend of intellect, humor, and emotional intelligence to her message, making complex wellness concepts engaging and easy to understand and retain.
Shannon has contributed to wellness discussions, written extensively on the importance of stewarding physical health as it relates to spiritual growth in her upcoming book God Food, and spoken on many faith-based platforms exploring holistic nutrition, integrative health, and fitness. She continues to use her voice to challenge conventional thinking about health, inspiring audiences to rethink their relationship with food, lifestyle, and overall well-being.

Laughter in Motion
From punchlines to push-ups, she brings energy.
Her mission is to help others reclaim their natural vitality and embrace a life of balance, nourishment, and purpose. Shannon’s work demonstrates that wellness is not merely the absence of illness, but the full expression of human potential when nutrition, lifestyle, and faith are aligned. By bridging cultural wisdom, modern science, and spiritual insight, she provides a roadmap for living with resilience, energy, and joy.
Shannon continues to inspire audiences around the world, empowering people to eat well, live intentionally, and thrive in alignment with nature and divine design.
