REMspace Unlocks the Future of Dream Chat Technology, Connecting Minds During Sleep

Scientists have recently discovered a way for humans to communicate with each other in their dreams, breaking the barrier of sleep.
REMspace, a neurotechnology startup based in California, claims it has unlocked a new dimension of communication by facilitating the first “chat” between two people while in a dream state. The scientific milestone was achieved using advanced technology developed by the company that enabled two individuals to exchange a message while lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreams occur when someone is aware that they are dreaming while asleep. This happens during REM sleep when the brain is almost as active as when one is awake, WebMD noted. Studies suggest 50% of people have experienced a lucid dream at least once in their life.
According to a press release, the successful experiment happened in September, while the two participants were sleeping at separate homes. A “specially developed apparatus” detected that the first participant entered a lucid dream and a Remmyo word – a dream language detectable through sensors – was transmitted to him via earbuds.
The second participant entered a lucid dream eight minutes later and received the same message while still asleep which she confirmed upon waking up.
"Yesterday, communicating in dreams seemed like science fiction. Tomorrow, it will be so common we won’t be able to imagine our lives without this technology,” said Michael Raduga, founder and CEO of REMspace. The company has been specializing in sleep enhancement and lucid dreaming.
This new discovery could revolutionize communication and open doors for future applications.
With its recent success, REMspace is focusing on enabling real-time communication in lucid dreams. The team believes this breakthrough can be achieved within a few months.
