As the founder and CEO of NeuroField Neurotherapy, a clinic specializing in applied neurostimulation in Santa Barbara, California, Dr. Thompson has built an international reputation for her work, marrying cutting-edge neuroscience with psychodynamic psychology. She is the creator of The School of Neurotherapy, an educational institution that offers advanced training in quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG), EEG analysis, Event Related Potential testing and assessment, and clinically applied blends of customized neurostimulation.
In addition to her clinical and educational leadership, Dr. Thompson is a Registered EEG Technician (R.EEG.T.), a credential signifying recognized medical proficiency in neurodiagnostics. Dr. Thompson holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where her doctoral research focused on “EEG in Depth: Electroencephalography of Psychodynamics.” She also earned a Master’s in Depth Counseling Psychology from Pacifica, as well as a Master’s in Rhetoric & Political Culture from the University of Maryland, where she began her teaching career.
Over the years, she has taught a range of courses—from Critical Thinking and Advanced Public Speaking to Depth EEG Analysis and Advanced Computational Neuroanalysis—and remains committed to both pedagogy and clinical mentorship in the current day. She has presented for the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), the International Society of Neuroregulation and Research (ISNR), the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, Autism One, and the Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia (ANSA), among others. Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Western Association of Biofeedback and Neuroscience, where she expanded education, training, and professional development opportunities for practitioners.

In her personal life, Tiff is the mother of two energetic boys, Neo (3) and Boomer (6). She and her husband, Dr. Nicholas Dogris, co-founder of the hardware/software company NeuroField, Inc., work side-by-side at their Santa Barbara clinic, pioneering the combined use of neurotherapy and psychotherapy to optimize brain health. Together, they exemplify the integration of science, family, and service to others.
