Anca Maftei: The I AM Method — An Initiatory Path to the Inner Light

My name is Anca Maftei, and I am the creator of the I AM Method, a systemic, holistic, and integrative map of human transformation. The method is the visible form of a journey that began long before it had a name.

I have always been a seeker. Throughout my life, I have searched for peace, stillness, truth, and the kind of light that does not depend on external circumstances. Suffering was never an abstract subject for me. I came into this life carrying deep wounds, and each stage of my existence seemed to activate another layer of them. Pain became both an initiation and a question: What can truly transform a human being? What reaches beyond intellectual understanding and creates real change in the way we live, relate, choose, receive, and become?

I was never satisfied with explanations alone. To understand why we repeat a pattern is valuable, but understanding does not necessarily release us from it. People often know what hurts. They may know where the difficulty began and recognize the family dynamic behind it. Yet their inner world continues to organize itself around the same fear, limitation, or invisible loyalty. I wanted to discover what makes transformation not merely conceptual, but embodied, systemic, spiritual, and visible in a life.

For twenty-one years, this search has taken me through twenty-six schools, extensive trainings, spiritual disciplines, systemic approaches, energy work, embodiment practices, and tens of thousands of hours of study, personal work, therapeutic exploration, and direct work with people. I tested everything first within my own life. I was not searching for a method I could teach; I was searching for a path I could trust. Only what produced clarity, freedom, and a deeper correspondence between the soul and daily life became part of my work.

Over time, these experiences revealed themselves not as isolated techniques, but as stages of a coherent initiatory journey. This journey became the I AM Method: a map that guides a person from inherited identity and reactive existence toward the inner light from which the authentic self can emerge.

The method begins with the Roots: the ancestral field, unfinished destinies, exclusions, gifts, and invisible loyalties that precede us. We do not look toward the past to remain imprisoned by it, but to restore order, return what is not ours to carry, and receive the life that reached us through those who came before.

The Trunk represents our relationship with our parents and with life itself. Through this axis, we explore belonging, trust, identity, and the capacity to receive. The Branches lead into the body, where history becomes sensation, contraction, vitality, and memory. The Leaves open the emotional world, teaching us to encounter emotion not as an obstacle, but as movement and intelligence.

The Flower brings us face to face with the Reactive Self: the identity shaped by fear, adaptation, control, defense, and the need to belong. It is understood as an intelligent structure formed to preserve us when we did not yet possess other resources. Yet what once protected life can later restrict it. Transformation begins when reaction is no longer mistaken for truth.

The Sun is the encounter with the I AM: the essential self, the living presence beneath biography, conditioning, and survival. It is the inner space in which consciousness becomes choice, love becomes orientation, and the soul begins to inhabit the personality rather than remain hidden behind it.

The Fruits are the visible expression of this alignment: relationships, work, prosperity, boundaries, creativity, and the ability to receive. Finally, the Forest reminds us that no one exists in isolation. We belong to family, humanity, nature, and a greater spiritual order. Personal transformation extends beyond the individual; it changes the field in which others also live.

My areas of specialization include systemic and transgenerational dynamics, ancestral and karmic patterns, embodied consciousness, emotional integration, relationships, identity, the Reactive Self, conscious creation, and spiritual development. Through courses, workshops, systemic work, and long-term programs, I have accompanied thousands of people, while my work has reached more than 80,000 individuals.

I chose to be part of "The New Woo" because I believe our culture is ready for a more spacious and mature understanding of the human being. We need a language capable of holding body and consciousness, ancestry and choice, energy and matter, soul and daily life—without abandoning discernment, ethics, intellectual integrity, or personal responsibility.

My contribution is this map of return. The I AM Method is not an invitation to become someone else. It is an initiatory path through which what is false, inherited, reactive, or no longer alive gradually falls away, until the human being can become transparent to their own soul.

This has been the deepest movement of my life: to walk toward the light within, and then to hold that path open for others.
