Taylor Moore NOV 2025

Taylor Moore is bringing her passion for health and enthusiasm for journalism to the Biohack Yourself Media team.

A Los Angeles-based media personality, her journalistic experience across television, social media, print, and radio has allowed her to become a well-rounded multimedia reporter and self-proclaimed “one-woman show.” She can self-produce, film, write, and edit her own materials. She has reported on several beats, from hard news to health, as well as entertainment and sports.

Taylor graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of La Verne in May 2024 with her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Throughout her college experience, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the University’s Campus Times Newspaper, as a leading news anchor for La Verne’s local television broadcast Foothill Community News and as an on-air radio personality for 107.9 LeoFm.

She also interned at local news station Chino-3 TV. In February, she and a fellow ULV graduate started up their own fashion and lifestyle magazine called XSTSY Media. Taylor’s journey into health and biohacking is deeply personal for her. At 16 years old, she developed a severe eating disorder and was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa.

She struggled with food avoidance, overexertion and body dysmorphia for three more years. It took friends and family rallying around her to bring about a necessary change, which is where she learned about biohacking.

With the encouragement of her loved ones, Taylor immersed herself in research surrounding nutrition and fitness, determined to reverse the effects of her disease. She began to learn about the nutritional value of foods and, with the help of her high school sweetheart, who had just become a certified fitness coach, developed a healthy workout regimen to gain healthy weight.

Today, Taylor treats weight-lifting at the gym and Pilates as a form of self-care, has learned the importance of eating three balanced meals a day, and is entering a journey of self-acceptance of her body image, all through biohacking herself. She feels the strongest she has ever been and has learned to treat her body like the temple it is, because humans only get one body to live in. While the road to recovery is never a straight one, Taylor has a newfound confidence and drive to help others who also struggle with eating disorders.

Her experience with mental health and body dysmorphia began to apply to her storytelling. In February 2024, Taylor partnered up with another journalist to produce, write, film, and edit an in-depth short-form documentary exploring how women’s inconsistent clothing sizing impacts their mental health and body image issues called “You Are NOT Your Size.”

In May 2024, their film won an award for their investigative journalism. Taylor turned her documentary into a feature piece for the University’s newspaper, which resulted in her being a Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Finalist.

Taylor is passionate about sharing her story to inspire others on a path to wellness, especially young girls who might also be struggling with mental health, eating disorders, and/or body dysmorphia. She hopes to continue to spread awareness by telling the stories of other people’s health journeys.

Taylor strives to continue to build herself as a media personality, as well as share health and wellness stories with the world through Biohack Yourself Media. While overcoming her own struggles has not been easy, she wants to encourage others to be the best and healthiest version of themselves through intentional practices and behaviors.
