Health News Network Names Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Jamie Tompkins to Strategic Media and Content Development Role

Health News Network (HNN) — the expert-owned health media ecosystem built on OTT streaming, trusted journalism, and practitioner-led programming — has appointed multi-Emmy Award-winning journalist Jamie Tompkins to a strategic leadership role spanning media production, content development, podcast expansion, and broadcast storytelling.

Tompkins doesn't just understand television. She's mastered it. With more than two decades of elite newsroom experience, multiple Emmy Awards, an Emmy nomination for Best Writer, and deep industry relationships built across America's top markets, she brings a caliber of broadcast expertise that is genuinely rare.

Before entering journalism, Tompkins trained in musical theater and speech, earning a college scholarship in New York City — developing the instincts for timing, emotion, and audience connection that would later define her on-camera command. Over a 20-plus-year career in television newsrooms across the United States, she served as the main evening anchor at a FOX-owned-and-operated station in Seattle, leading coverage across breaking national news, public policy, health and wellness, long-form investigative stories, crisis and emergency reporting, community journalism, and live national events. During COVID-19, she anchored hours of continuous live coverage across multiple broadcasts — guiding millions of viewers through one of the most rapidly evolving news cycles in modern history.

Her work earned multiple Emmy Awards and an Emmy nomination for Best Writer. Within the industry, she is known for her ability to build trust instantly, conduct authentic interviews, and help people communicate difficult, high-stakes stories with dignity and precision.

At HNN, Tompkins will drive the network's expanding ecosystem of doctors, experts, educators, founders, and channel owners through both creative and operational media leadership. Her responsibilities include podcast production development, health-focused content strategy, long-form storytelling consulting, reality-format development, scriptwriting and segment structuring, on-camera coaching, media training, OTT production consulting, podcast studio partnerships, and expert interview development. She will also lead efforts to help practitioners move from social media content into professionally structured long-form OTT programming built around education, credibility, and lasting audience trust — including developing episodic series, documentary-style educational content, and premium podcast formats.

Anthony Lolli, co-creator of HNN and founder of Biohack Yourself Media, stated:

“Jamie understands legacy media, modern media, breaking news psychology, storytelling, and audience trust at the highest level. She knows how to command attention while maintaining credibility. That combination is incredibly rare. As HNN grows into a major health media ecosystem, we believe Jamie’s experience will help elevate the quality, professionalism, and depth of the entire network.”

Tereza Lolli added:

“Jamie brings a level of polish, emotional intelligence, and broadcast excellence that aligns perfectly with where HNN is heading. She understands story structure, audience psychology, and how to create meaningful media experiences. We are excited to build with her.”

Tompkins joins HNN at a moment of accelerated growth. Unlike social platforms engineered around algorithms and rented attention, HNN is a private OTT ecosystem where qualified experts own branded channels inside a curated health media destination — built for long-form trust, credibility, and education. The platform integrates expert-led programming, health journalism, documentary storytelling, podcast ecosystems, wellness and longevity content, and professional production infrastructure under one roof.

The mission is clear: the future belongs to media owners. HNN is building it.
