Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is putting everyone's health first by making a significant investment in the healthtech company, Bioniq.
The UK-based firm made the announcement in October, confirming that CR7 has helped bring its total valuation to $82 million.
Launched in 2019, Bioniq provides personalized precision nutritional supplements to consumers using advanced blood biomarker analysis, AI technology, and personal health data. Supplements are customized with a unique formula designed for each customer's individual health needs.
The company claims to have the largest proprietary biochemical database using blood test data from consumers across five continents.
"We are thrilled that the world’s leading athlete and advocate of a healthy lifestyle has made Bioniq part of his journey since 2022," Vadim Fedotov, co-founder and CEO of Bioniq, said in a press release.
Ronaldo has been a member of Bioniq since 2022 and has been using its supplements for three years. While the terms of his investment were not disclosed, the company confirmed that the Al Nassr Football Club's captain is now a major shareholder.
"With their personalized health approach, I believe Bioniq has the potential to transform how we care for our bodies and help people reach and maintain their peak performance for longer," the five-time Ballon d'Or shared.
Aside from this recent investment, Ronaldo has several other business ventures under his name. He has a joint venture with Pestana Hotels for a string of his namesake hotels, Times Now News noted. He also has a clothing brand, CR7; a fitness gym chain, CR7 Crunch Fitness; several restaurants; and hair clinics, among his other businesses.
Cristiano Ronaldo's net worth is estimated to be about $800 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Manchester United's Diogo Dalot and Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer are also Bioniq members.
