Ana Isabel Hume is an award-winning bilingual multimedia storyteller with more than 20 years of experience across multiple national and international news outlets, specializing in broadcast journalism, strategic communications, and creative content development.
She currently serves as Director of Communications for Miami Mayor Francis X. Suarez, where she leads media strategy, public relations, and executive messaging for one of America’s most globally influential cities. In addition, she serves as Cultural Envoy for Miami–Madrid Relations, fostering international partnerships that strengthen cultural, civic, and economic exchange between both cities.
Ana began her journalism career interning at CBS4 News in Denver, Colorado, gaining hands-on experience in newsroom operations and broadcast production. She went on to serve as a breaking news reporter in Upstate New York for FOX WWNY-TV 7, covering high-impact stories under deadline-driven conditions. Her career continued in Georgia as a Creative Services Writer/Producer for NBC 38 / CW, where she developed promotional campaigns, scripts, and branded content, and later in South Florida as a Spanish-language news anchor for AZTECA 48, further expanding her bilingual on-air presence and audience reach.
Internationally, Ana is an in-demand in-stadium host and broadcaster for premier global sporting events, including the FIFA Club World Cup, the Pro Padel League World Tour, the E1 Series Championship, and Battle Court Jai-Alai, where she has served as host for six seasons. She continues to bridge sports, culture, and community as the creator and host of Where Culture Meets the Game, delivering athlete-driven and culturally relevant storytelling across live events, television, and digital platforms.

Ana has also served as a television host for Inside South Florida on WSFL-TV 39/CW, home of the Florida Panthers, and is the creator and host of lifestyle, civic, and veteran-focused series produced in collaboration with Miami Community News and A Day in Miami, highlighting community leaders, public service initiatives, and veteran advocacy.
Her previous government roles include Public Information Officer for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she led public education and awareness campaigns addressing human trafficking, domestic violence, and hate crimes, translating complex legal issues into accessible, community-centered messaging.
An adjunct professor at Florida International University and Ph.D. candidate in Strategic Communications, Ana’s doctoral research centers on the mental-health challenges faced by military spouses, with a specific focus on military wives, identity, resilience, and emotional labor.
Her dissertation serves as the foundation for her forthcoming book, "The Silent Life of an Army Wife," inspired by both her academic research and more than two decades of volunteer service supporting military families. She also remains active in Military Affairs outreach, supporting veterans and their families through civic initiatives, communications strategy, and cross-sector partnerships.

Ana is a Dame of the Military & Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, recognized for her dedication to service, faith, and humanitarian causes. A competitive bodybuilder since 2020, she embodies the discipline, resilience, and leadership that define her work across public service, media, athletics, and community engagement.
She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and brings expertise in technical writing, scriptwriting, video production, live hosting, media training, and social media strategy, making her a trusted voice across government, sports, and international media platforms.
