Frequency: The Invisible Language That Connects Us

Seriya Cutbush is the co-founder of Sound Healing Australia™ and co-creator of the internationally recognised Sound of Being™ Method, an integrative approach to therapeutic sound integrating meditation, breathwork, energy medicine and nervous system regulation.

Together with her life and business partner, Matty Rainbow, she has made it her life's work to share therapeutic sound through immersive trainings, retreats and transformational experiences, while supporting and mentoring a growing international community of practitioners and facilitators.

Everything in life exists in relationship.

From the rhythm of our heartbeat and the cadence of our breath to the thoughts we think, the emotions we feel and the sounds we hear, life is in continual motion. This understanding sits at the heart of Seriya's work.

Raised between the Byron Shire of Australia and the ashrams of India, she grew up immersed in meditation, mantra, yoga and sacred music. Spirituality was woven into everyday life, inspiring a lifelong exploration of consciousness and healing, grounded in the understanding that frequency is the invisible language that connects all of life.

Her path has taken her around the world to learn from diverse teachers and wisdom traditions, yet her understanding has been equally informed by years of walking alongside people through change, grief, illness and profound transformation, as well as through her own life's initiations. These experiences continue to inform the way she listens, holds space and understands healing. Alongside this, her background in theatre, music and education has brought creativity, presence and genuine connection into every aspect of her work.

From this lived experience emerged Sacred Recalibration™, a healing philosophy grounded in presence, curiosity and the understanding that healing is a process of remembering the wholeness that has always existed within us. Rooted in contemplative and shamanic traditions, it honours both the visible and unseen dimensions of life, recognising that transformation often unfolds through deeply personal lived experience.

For Seriya, sound is more than something we hear. It is a way of relating. Whether through voice, silence or vibration, she sees sound as a pathway into deeper awareness, helping people reconnect with themselves, one another and the living world.

At the heart of her work is an invitation to inquiry. When we learn to listen more deeply to our bodies, our emotions, one another and the natural world, we begin to remember something that has always been present. In that remembering, a sense of belonging naturally emerges.

The growing interest in what some call the "new woo" reflects a collective remembering of wisdom that has existed across cultures for thousands of years. Meditation, ceremony, breathwork and therapeutic sound have long offered ways of cultivating connection, belonging and meaning. As more people seek approaches that honour the whole person, we are being invited to reconnect with the greater web of life, remember our true nature, and bring the unique gifts each of us carries into the world.
